Cross River Government To Partner France on Waste Management

The Cross River State government is prepared to enter into a working partnership with the French government to produce electricity from waste products in the state.

A team of international technocrats who paid a courtesy call to Governor Ben Ayade said they are in the state to conduct a feasibility study on the waste management situation in the environment.

French Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr Jerome Pasquire who is part of the team that conducted the study also discussed other areas of economic cooperation including waste management with Governor Ayade.

According to the project guidelines, the team is expected to develop a sustainable solution to the disposal of liquid and solid waste as well as proffer solution for the generation of electricity from the end product.
