For every human, it is natural and normal to fear. Fear is an unusual concern for one’s physical, emotional and financial survival. If carefully analyzed, they provide us the opportunity to become better and achieve results.

Know the Source
Primarily, fear is an outcome of childhood conditioning. It sterns from destructive criticisms from one or both parents. If children are denied their experiences of right and wrong without proper guidance, the child develops fear such as failure, rejection, etc.

Examine Your Fears
With an understanding on the source, move to objectively identify, define, and analyze them. Take a clean sheet of paper and write the question, ‘What am I afraid of?
Then answer these questions
1. How does this fear hold me back in life?
2. How does this fear help me, or how has it helped in the past?
3. What would be my pay off for eliminating this fear?

Get Information
Any man without the right information is deformed. To break away from fear, find the right information to deal with it based on your answers above.

Build Courage
Mark Twain puts it this way, ‘Courage is the resistance to fear, mastery of fear – not the absence of fear. Winston Churchill said ‘Courage is rightly considered the foremost of the virtues, for upon it, all others depends.

To deal with fear, is to be courageous. Learn ‘courage’ as one of the success skills that you need.
