GRIT Bayelsa Celebrates Gloria Diri at 50, Hails Her on Passage of VAPP Act

As Dr. Gloria Ebibomo Diri, wife of the governor of Bayelsa State clocks 50, members of Gender Response Initiative Team, GRIT celebrates and commends her for facilitating the speedy passage of the Violence against Persons Prohibition act in the state.

In a statement signed by Co-ordinator, Dise Ogbise and posted on the official Facebook page of GRIT lauded Dr. Gloria Diri, who is also the Chairman of GRIT for contribution towards society.

The statement reads, thus,

“The Gender Response Initiative Team (GRIT) Bayelsa State heartily celebrates with it’s Chairman, our dear mother and wife of the Executive Governor of Bayelsa State, Dr. Mrs Gloria Ebibomo Diri on the celebration of our Golden Jubilee birthday.

“Today presents to us a moment of reflection on your journey through life dotted with great achievements. Your Excellency ma, we are reminded of your contributions towards the upliftment of women and children from the grips of victimization in the society.

“Again, within one year, your persistent commitment brought to life the passage of the Violence Against Persons Prohibition law 2021 in Bayelsa State. A bold statement of unwavering ideas of an egalitarian society.
