Imbibe Virtues of Humility and Selfless Service to Humanity, Ogbia People Told
The people of Ogbia kingdom have been charged to imbibe the virtues of humility and selfless service to humanity as they enter into the new year, 2022.
The Obanobhan of Ogbia kingdom, King Dumaro Charles Owaba gave the charge during a special new year message to the people in Ogbia local government area of Bayelsa state.
King Owaba noted that Ogbia people were known for speaking with one voice on issues affecting them which made them relevant even before the creation of Bayelsa state in 1996.

The monarch equally charged the people to follow the good examples of some persons from Ogbia kingdom who have lived exemplary lives such as former president of Nigeria, Goodluck Jonathan whose philosophy of politics without bitterness pushed him beyond the frontiers of the country to international limelight and Late Chief Melford Okilo who became the first civilian governor of Old Rivers State through inclusive government policy of decentralization.
He called on Ogbia people to put aside their differences and work towards accelerating growth and development of Ogbia kingdom.
He appreciated those that made personal and collective contributions and prayed for better days in the new year.
