Former President of Nigeria, Dr Goodluck Jonathan urges all Nigerians to be optimistic about the future of the country despite the current economic challenges.

Dr Jonathan stated this in a goodwill message to Nigerians on the occasion of the nation’s 61st anniversary.

He described October 1st as a day of freedom which provides an opportunity for all to reflect on the country’s progress adding that Nigerians should celebrate the humble attainment of the country and ponder on the dreams yet to be fulfilled.

However, he encouraged leaders and the citizens to rededicate themselves to the virtues of equity, justice and tolerance, while striving to give their best for the good of the nation.

Dr Goodluck Jonathan in his message joins all Nigerians to celebrate the 61st independent anniversary of our great nation, Nigeria
