Russia Ukraine Conflict Day 8 – UNGA Gets 141 Votes on its Resolution

In a bid to end Russia invasion of Ukraine as the 2022 conflict enters day 8, the United Nations General Assembly, UNGA has voted on its resolution to end the crisis.

The resolution was made known after an emergency Security session held on Monday night for adoption by the UN general assembly. After voting, 141 voted in favor of the resolution and 5 voted against.

However, it is unclear the impact and import of the resolution reached if Vladimir Putin, the Russian President  is ready to stand by the resolution of UNGA.

Analysts say the invasion of Ukraine on the orders of Putin is unnecessary and needless but call for a diplomatic resolution of the crisis in Europe.
