Topic: The Right Decision: A Key to Destiny Recovery

The right decision is very critical to the fulfilment of destiny.

SCRIPTURE: And Jacob said, Sell me this day thy birthright. And Esau said, Behold, I am at the point to die: and what profit shall this birthright do to me? Genesis 25:31-32.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The right decision is very critical to the fulfilment of destiny.

It has been established that the right decision is very critical to the fulfilment of destiny.

Let me give you one example: It was through decision that Jacob negotiated and got the birth right from Esau and ended up as the carrier of the Abrahamic Blessing (Genesis 25:31-34). Jacob was the second child of Isaac but Esau the firstborn sold his birth right to Jacob by decision.

Naturally, we should have been saying, “The God of Abraham, Isaac and Esau”, but Jacob critically examined the situation of his birth and changed the narrative by the power of decision. And that is why we have, “The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.”

Jacob saw that the Abrahamic Blessing was very great. He saw how massive Isaac’s Blessing was. Then he began to think, “This generational Blessing flowing through this family will not bypass me. I am not born into this family for fancy. I will carry this Blessing”.

So, he began to strategize and found a solution. He discovered that his brother, Esau, loved temporary things above permanent matters. Esau loved food above the future. So, Jacob strategically positioned himself and one day, Esau came home from the field and was very hungry. Then Esau said, “I need food”. And Jacob said, “You need food? It’s a small matter. Sell your birth right to me and I will give you the food you need”. Esau said, “I am about to die of hunger. What is the benefit of a birth right to a dying man? Take the birth right”. Then both of them entered into a transaction and Esau despised his birth right and gave it to Jacob (Genesis 25:29-34).

And from that day, in the archival records of eternity, Jacob became the first child of Isaac. Jacob was the second child by birth but he became the first child by choice. Beloved, the right decision is critical to life and destiny.

Remember this: the right decision is very critical to the fulfilment of destiny.

ASSIGNMENTS:

1. Make a solid decision to fulfil your destiny by all means.

2. Deal with the plagues of indecision and the wrong decisions.

PRAYER:

Lord, I ask that You help me to make quality decisions for destiny fulfilment. Deliver me from indecision and wrong decisions, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
