“And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.” (Matthew 25:10)

In our Focal Scripture, as the foolish virgins went to buy oil, the Bridegroom arrived; and they that were ready went in with him for the marriage feast. Ready folks went in for the feast with the Bridegroom. Readiness was the condition of those who eventually went in. So there were some who actually prepared to be in the feast, but were not ready at the time the Bridegroom arrived. Some had the feast in their priority list, but were not ready.

Friend, in 2023, be ready. Be ready for the Bridegroom. Be ready for the new season you have been praying for. Be ready for the new doors and gates that you want God to open for you. Be ready for the opportunities that God will bring your way. Be ready for the advancement you desire. Be ready for the next level you want to attain. Be ready for your assignments. Be ready for the destiny mandate on your life.

The Bridegroom arrived at an awkward time, and the five wise virgins were ready at short notice, to go in with Him to the marriage feast. Timing was not convenient, it was past midnight, but they were ready nonetheless. Destiny demands that you are ready even if the time is not right. Destiny demands that you are ready to be more even at short notice. Destiny demands that you rise to the occasion even when time is not enough.

How could the ten virgins travel all the way, carrying their lamps and all, and some were not ready to go in for the marriage? Destiny does not just celebrate preparation. Destiny celebrates readiness and embraces ready men. Destiny has no space for men who prepare but are not available at the time of their visitation. Destiny has no mercy for men who come to the brink of their transition and are not available to move forward.

Today, I pray for you: at the time of your visitation, and at the time of your manifestation and rising, you will be ready.

Hosea 13:13 MSG says: “When birth pangs signaled it was time to be born, Ephraim was too stupid to come out of the womb. When the passage into life opened up, he didn’t show”
