Traders in Tombia market, Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital are still counting their losses after several months of demolishment of illegal structures by the state government.

Some traders who are still lamenting over the incident said although they are not against the Urban Renewal program of the government, but the fact that alternative arrangement were not put in place for them to continue their business is highly insensitive on the part of the government.

According to them, the new settlement allocated to them is not safe for business as it is close to a pipeline right of way.

A market woman, Mrs Ebidisabofa Julius who confirmed that a new market has been built said many persons are not using the place as customers do not patronize them there adding that cultist have also made the place uncomfortable for them to carry out their businesses.

They appealed to the government take proactive steps to make the new market safe for business.
