Bayelsa PDP CTC Set For Thank You Tour Over Diri’s Reelection
The Caretaker Committee of the Bayelsa State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has said the Party would soon embark on a thank you tour across the 105 wards of the state.
Caretaker Committee of the Party, Barr. George Turnah stated this in a statement made available to newsmen by his Media aide, Pst. Kelvin Loveday-Egbo, on Tuesday.
Turnah in his statement said the tour was to appreciate the people for their support, loyalty and commitment to the Party during the 2023 gubernatorial campaign and election which resulted in the successful re-election of Governor Douye Diri for a second tenure.
The Statement quoted Turnah as highlighting the significance of the November 11th guber election in the state, saying the Governor’s victory was a resounding referendum on the Party by the Bayelsa electorates, just as he emphasized the deep commitment demonstrated by indigenes and non-indigenes alike, which secured second term for the governor as well as reflecting the party’s continued popularity in the state.
“We’re immensely grateful to our people who stood by the party, showing their solidarity and commitment to our vision for Bayelsa State.
“The thank-you tour will allow us to connect with our supporters in every corner of the state, ensuring that they know their voices were heard and their votes counted,” Turnah said.
He noted that the tour will also provide an opportunity for the PDP leadership to discuss future plans and initiatives aimed at furthering development in Bayelsa State.
The politician confirmed that details of the tour will be made public in the coming weeks, allowing party members and supporters to participate actively.
Turnah further reassured Bayelsans of the party’s commitment to transparency, good governance, and grassroot engagement.
“The planned thank you tour comes at a critical time for the party as it seeks to maintain unity and strengthen ties with the electorate.
“The upcoming thank-you tour is expected to bolster the PDP’s presence and reaffirm its dedication to serving the people of Bayelsa State,” he noted
