Bayelsa: PDP CTC Unveils New Media Team

The Barr. George Turnah-led Caretaker Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Bayelsa State Chapter has approved the appointment of Mr. Toruyokotie Godspower Esq. as Director General of the Party’s ‘New Media Team’.

A Statement from the Caretaker Committee Publicity Secretary, Mr Derri Alasuote Wright made available to newsmen says that the appointment takes effect from June 1st, 2025.

According to the Statement, Godspower who hails from Sabagreia community in the Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Government Area of the State is a dedicated legal practitioner with over ten years of post call experience.

The statement also added that the new appointee is also an accomplished author and an unwavering member of the Party, noting that his extensive background in new media practices, combined with his exceptional communication skills, positions him as an invaluable asset to the party.

The Statement read in parts: “The State Ag. Chairman is hopeful that Mr. Godspower will deploy his abilities to deliver innovative strategies that will effectively engage the public and enhance the party’s presence across digital platforms.

“In addition to this significant appointment, the Acting State Chairman has also approved the immediate reconstitution of the Bayelsa State PDP New Media Team comprising of members drawn from across the 8 Local Government Areas (LGAs), as well as representatives from the non-indigene community in the State.

“It is the Chairman’s belief that the reconstitution of the State PDP New Media Team will not only be beneficial to the party but will also serve as a vital avenue for public engagement, critical for the effective governance and administration of the PDP in the State.

“We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Mr. Toruyokotie Godspower Esq. on his well-deserved appointment.

“We are confident in his abilities to lead our New Media Team effectively and to further enhance the visibility and communication strategies of the Peoples Democratic Party in Bayelsa State.
