The ‘Ballot as we all know is stronger than the Bullet’. Abraham Lincoln, former American President was perhaps unmistakable when he ascribed politics as a ‘Trojan Horse’. Lincoln see those with less discernment that politics should be devoid of conflicts and insidious attacks. Yet politics at whatever levels must explain the terms of political engagement, not to be hidden under the odious and innocuous trenches of ephemeral diatribes.
Perhaps Sharon was also right once he described voting as the pyramid of expression of commitment to ourselves. But in all however, Roald Dahi, another great analyst provided a more exponential description like a siamese that the aim of politics and voting should focus more to assume power in order to change the world.
TEAM PEACE 2024, comrade Ogio Ipigansi campaign team has come to fill the lacuna of Leadership. His masterstroke gave epithets of a man that’s driven and prepared to work against all odds. A man imbued with the requisite experience, attributes and cognitive ability of transformation of the State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ.
Comrade Ogio having served as State Secretary knows where it pinches and has a cobbler to fix loosed ends.
TEAM PEACE 2024 being the hashtags for comrade Ogio campaign organization has filtered out an array of campaign promises to reposition the NUJ by bringing back to limelight and tackling challenges frontally after being elected as his tenure will champion continuation of peace and promote all inclusive leadership
In the area of welfare of members, Ogio Ipigansi will top priority to training and retraining of members. Explore partnership and collaboration with stakeholders for infrastructural development of the Ernest Ikoli NUJ Secretariat including mitigation of floodings at the press centre. Other campaign promises include to improve the standard of IIJ
by ‘collabo’ with relevant agencies to defend press freedom and safety of Journalists in the state. His Leadership is mindful and will take necessary steps to build on honesty, transparency and accountability, peruse and pursue special intervention for media industry in the state in order to turn the Press centre into a new destination point to generate revenue. It intends to achieve this by setting up a brainbox with a view to coming up with appropriate recommendations that’s desirable, achieveable and result oriented by developing a cryspy six_ year development plan for the union in the state.
Therefore a VOTE FOR COMRADE OGIO IPIGANSI as Chairman of the State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists is a vote for peace, progress and development.
