Davido Meets Energy Chief, Timipre Sylva Share Ideas on Youth Empowerment
Honourable Minister of State For Petroleum Resources, His Excellency Timipre Sylva played host to ace Musician David Adedeji Adeleke alias Davido.
The country’s energy Chief and the top composer discussed art, politics, youth empowerment and harmonisation of the various age grades in the country.
‘Your generation is a smart one, obviously, but it must proffer solutions too. If we all blame ourselves then we are farther and farther from any real solution. We must all harmonize, brainstorm and come up with creative ideas to improve life in our dear country’ Sylva said.
Davido’s attention was chiefly on the #endsars protests but the Minister assured him the country, led by President Muhammadu Buhari, is on a fair and right trajectory.
They spoke on the possibilities of building platforms for youth development and talent discovery.
Davido was also in support of the Minister’s signature gas initiative, especially the National Gas Expansion Program, NGEP, and the Autogas schemes designed to lessen dependence on PMS, a costlier, heavier and less eco-friendly version of fuel compared to gas.
There would be further announcements on partnerships geared towards youth and talent development between the Minister and the Afro pop star via this channel.
