The Scripture says, “David had a heart after God.” David wasn’t perfect, he made mistakes, but he had a desire to honor God. When God can trust you, when He knows He can count on you to honor Him—to handle the influence and the resources the right way—then there’s no limit to where God will take you.
You don’t have to be perfect; we’ve all made mistakes. It’s not so much about your performance; it’s about your heart. Keep God first place, do the right thing when it’s hard, say no to things that are pulling you down. You’re not just anyone. You’re a king’s son; you’re a king’s daughter.
