
Macaulay Eteli Set for SNA Bayelsa’s “Expressions” Contemporary Art Exhibition
Macaulay Eteli is set for the Society of Nigerian Artists (SNA), Bayelsa State Chapter much-anticipated contemporary art exhibition titled “Expressions: The Essence of Life!” on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Ayalla Hotels, along the Isaac Boro Expressway, Kpansia, Yenagoa.
Macaulay Eteli, who is not only one of the exhibiting artists but also the Chairman of the Association of Tourism Practitioners, Bayelsa State Chapter, is expected to play a prominent role in the event, further strengthening the connection between the state’s creative and tourism sectors.
He is also the Curator at the MEA Gallery in Yenagoa.
The exhibition, which opens at 10 a.m., will feature works from a dynamic lineup of artists, including Bolaji Akpuluma of FootPrint Art, Russia IneI of InRush Art Gallery, Tombra Sampson of ARTmosphere Gallery, Sir Macaulay Eteli of MEA Gallery, Sandra Ogheneruro, Lemie Atonye, Deborah Alikwe, Jerry Bolost, Deborah Wilcox of Workaholic Bee Concept, and Yivian Effort of V-Collections.
According to SNA Bayelsa, “Expressions” is designed to celebrate artistic innovation while deepening public engagement with visual art in the Niger Delta. The showcase will also explore the theme “The Essence of Life,” offering diverse interpretations through painting, mixed media, and contemporary forms.
The event will feature special guests, including Prof. Steve Azaiki and Dr. David Alagoa, who are expected to contribute to conversations around the growth and global relevance of contemporary Nigerian art.
SNA Bayelsa called on art lovers, collectors, cultural advocates, students, and the general public to attend, noting that the exhibition will serve as a platform to promote creative tourism and empower local artists.
