NDDC Boss Charges Young Creatives to Embrace Discipline, Innovation at Bayelsa Creatives Converge 2.0
The Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) engaged young creatives at the Bayelsa Creatives Converge 2.0 in Yenagoa, urging them to embrace discipline, hard work and innovation as tools for building a sustainable future.
Addressing participants drawn from across the Niger Delta and beyond, the NDDC helmsman shared insights from his personal journey, stressing that success is built on consistency, self-belief and a refusal to take shortcuts. He encouraged young people to view every opportunity as an investment in their future, irrespective of their background or social status.
Reaffirming the Commission’s dedication to youth empowerment, he highlighted ongoing initiatives such as the NDDC Youth Internship Scheme, the Niger Delta Chamber of Commerce and several innovation-focused programmes designed to equip young people with relevant skills.
The MD/CEO also warned against the rising cases of cybercrime and cyberbullying, urging youths to seize the limitless potential of the digital economy through software development, content creation, digital branding and global remote work.
According to him, technology remains the Niger Delta’s strongest pathway to accelerated growth. He tasked young creatives to innovate, build and uphold the dignity of labour, noting that the future of the region is bright — with its youth at the centre of its transformation.
