Scriptures: 1 Samuel 30:1; Psalm 113:1
I Sam 30:1 David and his men reached Ziklag on the third day. Now the Amalekites had raided the Negev and Ziklag. They had attacked Ziklag and burned it,
Psalm 113:1 Praise the Lord.[a] Praise the Lord, you his servants; praise the name of the Lord.
Yesterday’s testifier wrote: “I was fed up. I actually gave God till December to show up as my God and stop the reproach or I would quit believing that He exists.” So, I fasted one more time. Did you get that? DISCOURAGED BUT FASTED ONE MORE TIME! Was God afraid of the threat? No! The answer lies in: “So, I fasted one more time.”

DISCOURAGED BUT TOOK ACTION! Oh, many of us BLACKMAIL GOD! I once lived that life too! Oh, there was a period I would CRY and ask Him to SEE MY TEARS and I would THREATEN HIM – (join me to Laugh aloud please)! Yes! He wiped my tears because of HIS MERCY not because I was threatening Him! Ah! Always remember that in this race of 2021, when you get tired or discouraged (WE ALL DO), learn to rest, but never quit! The testifier said: “So, I fasted one more time!” Grow discouraged but keep moving! DO SOMETHING! SHAME THE DEVIL! God will always show up AT THE RIGHT TIME! He is an EVER-PRESENT HELP in trouble! It does not matter where you are coming from, what matters is WHERE YOU ARE GOING!
You cannot go back and change the beginning! But you can start where you are and change the ending! Garry Blair once opined:“You will be judged by your results and how well you bring things to an end! Therefore stay strong and focused to finish strong.” Always remember that if you are brave enough to start, then you are strong enough to finish. In life, you may not end up where you thought you were going, but you will always end up where you were meant to be, because ALL things will work in your favour – IF YOU LOVE GOD!
And in the end, it is not the years in your life that matter but the life in your years! So, hold on and keep moving because the TEAR WIPER is on the throne! Despite the “award-winning” tears of DAVID, did the TEAR WIPER not make him to LAUGH AGAIN in 1 Samuel 30? You are next!
