Topic: THE SIGHT OF FAITH
Faith is fed and fuelled by spiritual sight or picture.
SCRIPTURE: And the Lord said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward: For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed forever. Genesis 13:14-15.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Faith is fed and fuelled by spiritual sight or picture.
Faith is a very vital component of our spiritual life. Faith is critical to destiny fulfilment. Without faith, it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6).
Now, one of the things that fuel faith is the force of sight or picture. Faith is fed and fuelled by spiritual sight or picture.
Abraham, the father of faith, was also the father of spiritual sight.
Genesis 13:14-15 says,
And the Lord said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward: For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever.
Isaac was Abraham’s seed and Jacob (Israel) was Isaac’s seed.
It is important to know that Abraham had to see the geographical location and demarcations of the land where Israel is today before God gave it. The truth is, it is not possible to see a whole country from one position with our physical eyes. Abraham saw the land by spiritual sight. And that spiritual sight is what constitutes faith.
Genesis 15:5 says,
And he brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be.
God was asking Abraham to see the stars. He saw the pictures, and he believed. The meaning is: vision assists conviction. Picture assists persuasion. Visualization is critical to realization and manifestation.
So, faith is fed and fuelled by spiritual sight or picture.
My counsel is: feed and fuel your faith by the force of spiritual sight or picture.
Remember this: Faith is fed and fuelled by spiritual sight or picture.
ASSIGNMENTS:
1. Make up your mind to be diligent in the study of the Scriptures.
2. See the pictures from Scriptures to fuel your faith.
PRAYER: Thank You Lord for Your Word to me today. I ask that You open my eyes to see the pictures from the Scriptures to fuel my faith, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
