IT WILL MAKE SENSE
“There is a lad here, which hath five barley loaves, and two small fishes: but what are they among so many?” (John 6: 9)
That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.

In our Focal Scripture, Andrew made mention of the lad who had five loaves and two fishes, but he quickly added that it was too little amongst the multitude. What the lad had, did not make sense to Andrew in the light of the multitude that needed to be fed. What the lad had, did not seem capable of making a difference. Notice that after Jesus gave thanks and broke the bread and fish, the multitude was fed. He touched the loaves and the fishes, and what didn’t make sense began to make sense.
Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: if there be anything in your hands that is too small that it does not make sense at all, as the hand of the Lord comes upon it, it will begin to make sense. Your little will grow to many when the hand of the Lord comes upon it. Your insufficiency will become sufficient when the hand of the Lord comes upon it. That thing that seems too inadequate will become adequate by the hand of the Lord.
Jesus did not need more than the five loaves and two fishes to make a great feast happen. The little that was available to Him, was enough once His hands touched them. When the hand of the Lord comes on your little, it will turn to many. You wouldn’t need more helpers when the hand of the Lord comes on the helper you currently have; you wouldn’t need more opportunities when the hand of the Lord comes on that opportunity you have; you wouldn’t need more when Jesus steps in.
What is that little that you have that does not make sense? Bring it to the feet of Jesus and He will make it make sense. Bring your little ideas to the feet of Jesus and He will make it make sense. Bring your little resources to Jesus and He will make it make sense. Bring your little family to Jesus and He will make it make sense. Bring what you have in your hands to Jesus and He will make it make sense. A touch from Jesus is enough.
Welcome to that season where your little will turn to many. Welcome to the season of your divine multiplication.
Isaiah 60: 22 says: “A little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation: I the LORD will hasten it in his time.”
