Streams of Joy Devotional by Jerry Eze 28 November 2021
Topic: No Contention
“1. And the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the LORD: and the LORD delivered them into the hand of Midian seven years. 2. And the hand of Midian prevailed against Israel…” (Judges 6: 1-2)
That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.
When the children of Israel sinned against God, He delivered them into the hands of Midian for seven years. Another meaning of ‘Midian’, is strife. Another word that describes ‘strife’, is contention. So the children of Israel found themselves in a situation where strife was the order of the day. They couldn’t enjoy the fruit of their labour in peace. They couldn’t live and move freely. They found themselves in the realm of contention.
Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: every contention over your life is over. Every contention that won’t let you have what the Lord has made available to you, I break it now. Every contention that wants you to lose your place in destiny, I command it to end now. Every contention that wants to position you wrongly, below your destiny mandate, I command it to end now. Every contention for your space, I command it to end now.
Hear me as I hear the Lord: every contender for your throne goes down now. Every contender for your destiny space goes down now. Every man that has arisen to fight for what is yours, let the armies of heaven be unleashed upon him now. Every satanic voice that says you will not enjoy the fruit of your labour, I command that voice to be silenced by fire. I silence every voice that is instigating contentions in your destiny.
Every chapter of contention in your destiny is closed by fire. I send the fire of God against your contenders. I send the fire of God against those that have arisen to ensure that you do not possess your possession. I send the fire of God against the conspiracies that are ongoing without your knowledge. I send the fire of God round and about your space, and there will be no more invasion of the wrong men.
The days of contention are over. The days of striving with the people are over. By the hand of the Lord, you will prevail over every contention.
Psalm 18: 43 says: “Thou hast delivered me from the strivings of the people; and thou hast made me the head of the heathen: a people whom I have not known shall serve me.”

I send the fire of God against my contenders; no more contention, in Jesus’ name!
