TOPIC: IT CAME TO PASS
“And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a spirit of divination met us, which brought her masters much gain by soothsaying:” (Acts 16:16)
That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.
Our Focal Scripture began with “And it came to pass”. Paul and Silas would eventually end up in prison a few verses down the line, but the tale of their sojourn began with “And it came to pass”. What was about to come against them only came to pass. The negativity that was waiting for them only came to pass. The affliction of the enemy that was unleashed against them only came to pass. Their setback only came to pass.
Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: whatever negativity that may have come your way only came to pass. That affliction only came to pass. That health challenge only came to pass. That setback in your rising only came to pass. That financial state that is not in your favour only came to pass. That negative medical report only came to pass. That rejection only came to pass. That policy that is not in your favour only came to pass.
Every situation that is unpleasant has got an expiry date. If it is a negative situation, I command it to terminate by fire. If it is a trouble to your destiny, I command it to terminate by fire. God will rewrite your story. The tables are turning in your favour. Your good news will replace every bad news you may have become accustomed to. The troubles you are currently facing will soon pass away. Those conspiracies only came to pass.
Very soon, you will look for that negativity that wanted to break you, and you will not see it anymore. Soon, you will come to the same places where you were rejected, and rejection would have made way for acceptance. Soon, you will come to the same places where men wrote you off, and your story would have changed. Soon, you will look back and testify that the battles of the past are over forever.
No gate of hell that has arisen against you will remain longer than necessary. If it is negative and not in your favour, it only came to pass.
Nahum 1:9 says: “What do ye imagine against the LORD? he will make an utter end: affliction shall not rise up the second time.”
