FOCAL SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY:
“And Sarai said unto Abram, Behold now, the LORD hath restrained me from bearing: I pray thee, go in unto my maid; it may be that I may obtain children by her. And Abram hearkened to the voice of Sarai.” (Genesis 16:2)

Before Hagar left the home of Abram and got into the desert where she was seen by El Roi, she was first offered to Abram by Sarai. Sarai had been barren, and she offered her maid to Abram with hopes of raising children through her. When Hagar would finally conceive and mock Sarai, she was driven out and she journeyed to the desert where El Roi saw her. Sarai played roles that culminated in Hagar being seen by El Roi.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: in 2024, may the Lord send you men and women who will cause your destiny to enter the realm of relevance. May the Lord send you people who will orchestrate the opportunities you need for advancement. May the Lord send you men who are carriers of the opportunities for your rising. May the Lord send you people whose errors will make way for you to be more relevant. May the Lord send you men who will take actions that will cause El Roi to show up for you.

Hagar was a slave who had no business being a partaker of the blessings of Abram. She was a mere slave, but because of the errors of Sarai, she found herself encountering El Roi, in her vulnerable moment. Hear me as I hear the Lord: may the errors of men open the doors of relevance to you. May the mistakes of others usher you into realms you never imagined you would ever attain. May the mistakes of others make way for you.

Notice that Sarai had begun to work against Hagar; she had become harsh to Hagar; she had turned against Hagar; so the very one who turned against Hagar literally pushed her to that place where the eyes of El Roi were fixated on Hagar. Hear me as I hear the Lord: this year, all those who turn against you will cause the eyes of the Lord to be fixated on you more than ever before. All those antagonizing you will cause God to favour you.

Allow the animosity of people around you to push you even closer to the God that sees you. Allow the Sarai’s of this world to push you closer to El Roi.

Isaiah 60:10 (MSG) says: “Foreigners will rebuild your walls, and their kings assist you in the conduct of worship. When I was angry I hit you hard. It’s my desire now to be tender.”

Declare With Me: In 2024, I receive the gift of men who will cause EL Roi to see me, in Jesus’ name!
