FOCAL SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY:
“Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.” (Matthew 2:2)

When Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judah, some wise men came to Jerusalem and announced how they had seen his star in the east. Notice that apart from the wise men, there were some shepherds who were told by an angel that Jesus had been born, but these shepherds did not see the star of Jesus (see Luke 2). The shepherds only saw an angel that told them about Jesus, but it was the wise men who saw Jesus’ star.
Friend, there are men that will see your star before they meet you, but also know that there are men who will never see your star before they meet you. There are people that God may literally hide your star from. Some men will hear about your greatness and connect with you even when they are yet to see you, but there will always be that group who will only come with information from the angels, announcing your emergence.
It was the wise men who saw the star of Jesus that brought Him gifts. Those who did not see His star brought no gifts. His shining attracted gifts from the wise men. Your destiny may not attract men who are bearing gifts, except you begin to shine in the places where you must shine. Some men may not treat you the way the wise men treated Jesus, except the Lord opens their eyes to see the star He has made you to be.
Today, I pray for you: may the Lord cause your generation to see your star and treat you the way the wise men treated Jesus. May the eyes of your generation be opened to see the divine deposits that heaven placed in you. May the eyes of people around you be opened to see the capacities and abilities that heaven has bestowed on you. May the eyes of men be opened to see the gifts that God has planted in you for your generation.
Don’t be counted amongst men who failed to shine their light in their generation. Don’t be counted amongst the burning and shining lights that chose to hide their shining. May God package you in a way that will cause your generation to receive you rightly.
Isaiah 60:3 says: “And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.”
Declare With Me: My shining will attract men bearing gifts, in Jesus’ name!
