Accelerate The Development of The Girl Child, JPF Calls on Governments
Juliet Pulu Foundation, JPF an international non governmental agency, NGO and interventionist calls on regional and national governments to accelerate systems for the development of the girl child.
In a statement issued to newsmen to mark the International Day of the Girl-child, the foundation draws the attention of relevant stakeholders on the plight of the girl child especially in the rural communities and to address them.
According to the foundation, the theme for this year’s girl child day ‘Girls’ vision for the future’ is apt and revealing.
The foundation joins the United Nations office to call for ‘Urgent action is needed to drive progress with and for girls. Actively investing in girls’ futures is to invest in our own futures.’
‘Together, we can build a future in which every girl’s rights are protected. For when girls achieve their goals, we all move closer to achieving our Global Goals’.
The Juliet Pulu Foundation, JPF to commemorate with girls around the global urging them not relent but make efforts at developing themselves for a better future against all forms of violence.
JPF is committed in the education and empowerment of women and girls in the society. October 11 every year is set aside to highlight issues affecting the girl-child.
