ANA Bayelsa Felicitates With Akpos Adesi as Registrar, University of Africa
The Bayelsa State Chapter of the Association of Nigerian Authors, ANA hereby felicitates with her Chairman, Dr. Akpos Adesi, on his appointment as the new Registrar, of the University of Africa, Toru-Orua (UAT).
In a congratulatory message signed by ANA Bayelsa Vice Chairman, Amatare Mozimo and Secretary, Ebipreye Egbenpere, on behalf of the association and her teeming members, they appreciated the Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Douye Diri, who found the ANA Bayelsa Chairman, Dr. Adesi, worthy of the appointment as registrar for a record third time in a tertiary institution.
Dr. Adesi was the pioneer Registrar of the Bayelsa Medical University (BMU) Yenagoa from 2018 until recently. Before then, he was the Registrar of the Isaac Jasper Boro College of Education, Sagbama.
While eulogising Dr. Adesi, for his versatility and ingenuity which have earned him the choice appointment, they called on him to use the position to work with the other Principal Officers and Senate members to take the University of Africa Toru-Orua, to higher pedestal.
The duo prayed God to grant him wisdom and knowledge, to steer the administrative wheel of the University to enviable heights.
Dr. Adesi who hails from Sagbama Town, is an awarded winning author of two plays – Agadagba Warriors and When The Table Turns. His scholarly articles have graced the pages of academic journals locally and internationally.
Dr. Adesi is a seasoned administrator with zest for public service administrative protocols. He holds a doctorate degree (PhD) from the University of Ibadan.
He takes over from Mr. Francis Owusu-Mensah (a Ghanaian National) who until recently, served as the pioneer Registrar of UAT.
