
AY Reflects on Alex Ekubo’s Passing, Urges Love and Forgiveness
By Dim Oba – Popular comedian and filmmaker Ayodeji Richard Makun, widely known as AY, has shared an emotional tribute following the Service of Songs held in honour of late actor Alex Ekubo, describing the gathering as a poignant reminder of life’s fragility.
In a heartfelt message, AY said the event was filled with love, reflection and touching tributes, noting that the large turnout reflected the profound impact Alex had on those around him and the many lives he touched during his lifetime.
According to the entertainer, the messages delivered during the service carried a powerful lesson about the need to let go of grudges, bitterness and unresolved conflicts.
“Life is too short for grudges, bitterness and unresolved differences,” AY stated, urging people to embrace love, forgiveness and appreciation for family, friends and loved ones while they still have the opportunity.
He acknowledged the pain of saying goodbye to the late actor but said the overwhelming expressions of love and support from friends, colleagues and well-wishers provided comfort to many in attendance.
AY further revealed that family members, friends and associates would soon gather in Arochukwu, Abia State, to accompany Alex on his final journey home.
