Bayelsa Media Awards 2025: Honouring Icons of Excellence in Bayelsa State
The countdown is on — only 3 days to go before the prestigious Bayelsa Media Awards 2025 lights up Yenagoa with a celebration of excellence, legacy, and impact.
The Bayelsa Media Awards (BMA 2025) is not just about recognizing outstanding media practitioners; it is a platform that honours distinguished individuals who have made remarkable contributions to the development of Bayelsa State and Nigeria at large.
This year’s honorary award recipients include respected leaders, creatives, and visionaries whose work continues to inspire generations. Among the honorees are Late Chief Senator Melford Obiene Okilo, Late King Robert Ebizimor, King Perema Freetown, Chief Barrister Smooth, Dr. Izonebi Alfred, Senator Heineken Lokpobiri Ph.D, Hon. Oforji A. Oboku, CP Ikioye Orutugu, King Joshua Igbugburu, Zigha Timothy Ayibakuro, Dr. Sabina Ego Ekechukwu, Prince Iwefa Aganaba, Inspector Godstime Michael, Mike Ekiye, Dr. Kola Oredipe, Reuben Icho, and the Bayelsa State Cultural Troupe.
The event will take place on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at the Lady Daima Memorial Event Centre, Osiri Road, Ekeki, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State. The ceremony kicks off by 10:00 a.m., with guests expected to attend in Ijaw Traditional Attire.
