Biaka Kalada-Ogolo Set to Release Two Books in Yenagoa
Biaka Kalada-Ogolo, a writer and Chief Executive Officer, CEO Of Biaka International Artz is set to release two new books to general public in Yenagoa.
In an invitation card presented to Reflector News crew, says one of the books is a indigenous work in Khana language while the other a collection of short stories.
Biaka Kalada-Ogolo, a writer of Ogoni extraction residing in Yenagoa wrote the Comprehensive Khana Language Textbook for Nursery and Primary Schools to help sustain and preserve the Ogoni Languague.
The collection of short stories comprises of distinct four stories with the following titles – The Rejected But Chosen, A Maid at His Service, Mother: A Disguise and A Nightmare.
According to the invitation card, several dignitaries are expected to grace the occassion which include Chief Emmanuel Dakolo as Royal Father of the Day, Dr Opuofoni and Captain Ayibakari are Chairman of Occasion, Apostle Dr P. E. Kine is Spiritual Father of the Day and Honourable Dr Gentle Emelah is expected as the Special Guest of Honour.
Others are Rev Dr D Fabeke, President and CEO of Ogoni Liberation Initiative will serve as Chief Launcher, Mr Martins Nwigbo, Chairman of Khana Local Government Area of Rivers State is co-Launcher, Barrister Iyobose Apulu, Permanent Secretary, Bayelsa Service Service is Mother of Day and Mr. Barineme Deeyaa, Special Adviser to Rivers State Governor on Project Monitoring will be guest of honour.
The books launch is scheduled for Saturday 23rd November 2024 at 11am at the Association of Senior Civil Servants Secretariat Complex, Along Bayelsa Palm Road, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.
