INSIGHT | Bible Verse for Today 5 December 2023 – Mark 14:33 | ‘…Taketh With Him Peter’
[dropcap]M[/dropcap]oments come in life, when we need to separate ourselves for assignment and we need people around us to accomplish our task and goals. It is never a wrong idea to stay around people, Jesus have the need for people around Him at this time of His earthly ministry.
In scripture, we find people having smaller groups within a larger community to fulfill a particular assignment or purpose. Paul and Silas were separated for the work of evangelism into the Gentile nations.
Jesus, in our previous bible verse, while he was going to pray ask his disciples to sit in a particular spot without any further instruction as we read yesterday. In today’s bible verse, it reads how he took Peter, James and John from the rest of them. These same persons, were with him on the mount of transfiguration. They are the leaders amongst the disciples, so they were expected to go farther with him in Jesus’ earthly ministry.

Dearly beloved, these are people, are helpers not because they have money or occupying any position in society. Most times, we are deceived that the people that can help us are people highly placed. Your domestic staff, clerical staff and passer-by can be a help in journey to destiny fulfilment.
As you go out today, pray that the Holy Spirit will help and guide you to find the right persons that will be in your small group that will help you fulfill your assignment on earth.
Declare: By the help of Holy Spirit, I shall not miss my God-ordinated helpers irrespective of your position, place or personality!
