INSIGHT | Bible Verse for Today 4 December 2023 – Mark 14:32 | ‘…While I shall Pray

A continuous spiritual exercise common to Jesus while on earth is prayer.  Every available opportunity, is an opportunity to prayer.  Jesus came to a place called Gethsemane with his disciple and said to them, sit ye here, while I shall pray.

This is after they had the Passover at the upper room, it is believed that, Jesus should rest from the activities of the Passover, yet he did not but resort to pray. He told the disciples sit ye here without telling them what do while sitting here either to wait for Him or rest.  The second phrase did not prompt them to pray.

As believers, we are commanded to pray.  Paul wrote a three-word verse, pray without ceasing in 1 Thessalonian 5:17.  Seize every available opportunity to pray because it is only potent spiritual weapon against devil and his devices.
