
Commander Abieyuwa Ikhidero Tranfers Command Leadership to Deputy
The Bayelsa State Command of the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) witnessed a significant transition in leadership as Commander Abieyuwa Ikhidero proceeds on study leave.
Commander Abieyuwa Ikhidero, the pioneer Commander of the State Command, formally handed over the reins of leadership to her Deputy, Mr. Fadewara Timibiowie.
The event, which marked a change of baton, was an emotional moment for officers and men of the Command, as well as esteemed stakeholders who were present to witness the occasion and deliver goodwill messages.
Among those in attendance were Lady Eunice Nnachi of the Women for Mentorship and Advocacy Network (WOMEN) and representatives of the Project Manager (Mr. Moses Olley)of Center for Clinical Care and Clinical Research Nigeria (CCCRN).
Commander Ikhidero, visibly joyful, expressed deep gratitude to the officers for their cooperation and commitments over the past four years.
She encouraged them to maintain the spirit of teamwork and dedication to the Agency’s mission.
She also extended heartfelt appreciation to all esteemed stakeholders for their consistent support, urging them to continue partnering with NAPTIP in the fight against human trafficking.
The ceremony featured presentations of gifts from the State Command and valued stakeholders to the outgoing Commander in recognition of her service.
The high point of the send-forth and handing-over ceremony were group photographs to commemorate the occasion.
