INSIGHT
Ella, is a middle-aged new mother living in one of the low residential quarters in Yenagoa. She is particular of persons touching her six-month old baby girl. Ella engages a maid to help attend to her baby with strict hygienic routine. Before, Ella goes out, she monitors how the maid takes her bath, clothing, mouth cleaning, and smell to ensure she is fit to attend to the baby.
In our bible verse for today, Jesus teaches a fundamental truth that every believer must adhere to enjoy God’s best. The passage reveals to us, how to encounter the supernatural. Just like the opening fictional story, Ella takes extra precaution on her maid’s hygiene before touching the baby. Beloved, we should take care of our spiritual hygiene before approaching God.
Purity of the heart is important for supernatural intervention in our lives. Divine encounters are not possible without a pure heart. The psalmist writing in Psalms 24:3 and 4 reveals the importance of maintaining a pure heart as Jesus re-echoes it in the bible verse.
Most of our struggles emanates from an unclean heart. A pure heart is free from guilt, unforgiveness, and lustful lifestyle. To live a purified lifestyle is to enjoy continuous divine interventions and encounters. Make a decision to stay pure!
