
Elder Victor Yenevie Appreciates BMNA, As He Sets To Receive Prestigious Award
The Community Development Chairman, CDC, of Amarata Community in Yenagoa Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, Elder Victor Yenevie, has appreciated the organizers of the prestigious Bayelsa Media Network Awards, BMNA, for recognising him as an awardee for the 7th edition.
Elder Victor Yenevie, made the appreciation when the organizers of BMNA visited him in his residence at Amarata Community to inform him of his nomination for the BMNA Award Ceremony coming up on the 26th of December at the Nigerian Union of Journalists Secretariat, Ekeki Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.
The CDC Chairman Said he never see the award coming but was Overjoyed when the call came that he has been nominated for an award as the Best CDC Executive due to his enormous contributions to human and societal development especially in Amarata Community,
The Amarata Community leader, who was full of thanks commended the organisers for standing out in terms of honouring men and women who has contributed to the development of society in their various fields of endeavors and prayed they continue with their credible selection process,
He further attributed the honour to all who in one way or the other contributed to his success story, hinting that he never knew people are watching them as he returned all the glory to God for the honour done him.
“I will appreciate my people sitting down here, we are working together, without them I am nothing, so am thanking them for standing by me in ensuring peace exist in our community.
“I ThankGod, we work day and night tirelessly with the help of the youths, indigenes and non indigenes to ensure that peace reigns in Amarata, the success is not mine alone but for my CDC team, the youths and everyone including the police and other security agencies, today we can sleep with our two eyes closed” I also want to appreciate Senator Douye Diri ,Governor of Bayelsa State for providing adequate security in Bayelsa , my regards goes to Hon.Oforji Oboku for all he is doing for Epie Atissa people in the area of providing security and our own Son, hon. Gifted Natus for his tremendous and numerous support to ensure that lasting peace reigns in Amarata Community,
Earlier in his remarks, the Chief Executive Officer of the BMNA, Mr Mathew Blessing Ozegbe called on other community development Chairmen to emulate the Amarata Community chairman for his good works.
According to him the BMNA does not award anyone that has not contributed to society but rather award those that have contributed positively and passionately, while calling on people to be hard-working and put in their utmost best in whatever assignment they are involved in,
He emphasized on the need for people to work together so as to build a better society, while encouraging the chairman to see his nomination as a Clarion call to do more for society.
