
ENWAF Celebrates With Widows in Ogu Community
As part of its Community Outreaches aimed at improving the lives of women and girls, the Eunice Nnachi Women Advocacy Foundation, ENWAF has visited widows in Ogu Community, Yenagoa local government area of Bayelsa State.
The outreach is part of the two year anniversary celebration of the foundation as well the International Women’s Day.
Chief Executive Officer, ENWAF, Lady Eunice Nnachi noted that the foundation has in the last two years made a positive impact in the lives of women and girls through economic empowerment initiatives, promoting gender equality and supporting vulnerable women.
Lady Nnachi emphasized that the foundation will continue to reach out to women and girls particularly in the areas of education, healthcare and psychological support.
“ENWAF is designed to add value to women and the society at large, our aim is to empower women to be self reliant and to build the next generation of women leaders”
Chairperson, Women Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria, WOWICAN, Mrs Grace Iyabi expressed gratitude to ENWAF for the various initiatives which has contributed to the socioeconomic development of women in the state.
On her part, Team Lead, Fringe Voices, Mrs Tare Amananagha who highlighted the role of women and mothers urged the widows to continue in their good works of taking care of their children, grandchildren and families.
Program Manager, Voice of the Ijaw Girl Child Foundation, Lady Blessing Nwanemim pointed out that the foundation is focused on advocacy against gender based violence, Children’s rights and women empowerment.
In his welcome address, Chief Simanyi Meniwoze expressed gratitude to the Eunice Nnachi Women Advocacy Foundation, ENWAF for visiting the community to reach out to widows.
He prayed God to continue to bless and strengthen Lady Eunice Nnachi and all the members of the foundation to achieve all round success in achieving their goals and objectives.
