Governor Diri Receives INC Central Zone Executives, Calls on Ijaws to be United
Senator Douye Diri, governor of Bayelsa State receives executive members of Central zone, Ijaw National Congress, INC in government house calling for the unity of Ijaws in Nigeria.
“We are one people, political parties are only tools for us to actualize our administrative and developmental goals and not to divide us, not for acrimony and hatred. Ijaws must be united as one.
The Ijaw nation has been there long before Nigeria became a country. Our forefathers lived in this land and bequeathed it to us, and in the same vein, we will equally live in it and bequeath it to our children. And we have the responsibility to ensure that our land is safe, secured and productive.

And so, you and I, have a task, the task is on our laps and we should not shy away from it. You all are people who have the nucleus, capacity and what it takes to be in the Central Zone Executive. You have the pedigree to be in this executive and that’s why God has made it possible for you to be elected at this trying times to steer the central zone of the Ijaw National Congress, INC.
So, let me on behalf of your government and the good people of Bayelsa, congratulate you on your election.”
