
Governor Diri Receives Prime Minister of The State of Africa in Diaspora
Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Douye Diri today received a delegation of The State of Africa in Diaspora led by its Prime Minister, H.E Dr. Louise-George Tin at Government House, Yenagoa.
The meeting is aimed at fostering partnership between the Bayelsa State government and the State of Africa in Diaspora in the areas of healthcare, expansion of the airport, building a smart city, and other developmental projects.
Governor Diri assured the delegation of the State of Africa in Diaspora of the Prosperity Administration’s interest in the area of partnership.
“Let me on behalf of the good people of Bayelsa State, heartily welcome you to our state. We are aware you have been doing a lot in other African countries, but you have not come to Nigeria. So, we are happy to be the first state in Nigeria you are coming for partnership”, Gov. Diri said.
Dignataries at the meeting were the Deputy Speaker of the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Hon. Michael Ogbere, Secretary to the State government, Prof. Nimibofa Ayawei, Chief of Staff, Government House, Dr. Peter Akpe, Deputy Chief of Staff, Government House, Mr. Irorodamie Komonibo, Commissioner for Information, Orientation and Strategy, Hon. Ebiwou Koku-Obiyai, Commissioner for Marine and Blue Economy, Mrs Faith Zibs-Godwin, and other top government officials.
