LATEST UPDATE ABOUT THE ELECTRICITY/POWER SITUATION IN YENAGOA, BAYELSA STATE

NUMBER OF TCN TOWERS THAT COLLAPSED DUE TO VANDALISM: 19 TOWERS
BREAK DOWN: 16 TOWERS ALONG AHOADA-OKOGBE AXIS
II. 3 TOWERS AT IGBOGENE AXIS
PRESENT SITUATION
• All the 19 TOWERS have been re-erected.
• Slinging Job along the Igbogene-Yenagoa Axis is 100% completed.
• Slinging Job along the AHOADA-OKOGBE Axis have gotten to Advanced level.
CHALLENGES
• The Big Flood is a major problem. But in the midst of the above, the special Amphibious Workers are working in the Water to ensure that Light is restored to the state soonest.
REMARK
With the pace of work and strong determination of the Contractors and Workers, we are optimistic that Electricity will be restored to Bayelsa within days. We are no longer counting weeks.

We thank His Excellency, Very Distinguished Senator Douye Diri the Executive Governor of Bayelsa State for his proactive gesture, particularly for providing all the Resources that are needed to restore Electricity to the state.
Engr. Olice Kemenanabo, the Managing Director/CEO of Bayelsa State Electricity Company Limited deserve special commendation and appreciation for his doggedness and immeasurable sacrifices.
He spends most of his day from morning to evening daily at the sites of the ongoing repair works.
PASSIONATE APPEAL
It is time to deemphasize negativity and emphasize positive things in the state. We do not need to encourage demarketing of the state.
Finally, we need to always pray and also support the Governor, his Deputy, their families and members of the ASSURED PROSPERITY TEAM to succeed.
