Ikibiri Monarch, Stakeholders Endorse James-Appah, House Assembly Aspirants

The Paramount ruler of Ikibiri community (Ogbo 3) in Yenagoa Local Government Area, HRH Barr Maurice Lagos, Chiefs, elders, women and youths have endorsed their son, Mr Iniye James-Appah for the Yenagoa Constituency Two seat in State House of Assembly.

The Amananaowei along with critical stakeholders from the three existing compounds in the community, namely; Tuborukunu, Ogbopele, Tamukunu gave their blessings to the Assembly hopeful when he visited the community to inform them of his political ambition and solicit their blessings and support.

Speaking at his palace, HRH Lagos said it is the first time anyone from the community is coming out to vie for the position and expressed delight that their son is fulfilling their long time ambition of having a son representing them at the Assembly.

He commended him for throwing his hat in the ring to contest the election despite the difficult political terrain and prayed for his success in the election.

The monarch also assured him of the community’s support, saying they are solidly behind him in his quest to change the narrative.

In a remark, Mr Iniye James-Appah said he is contesting the Yenagoa Constituency Two seat to bring an end to poverty, hopelessness and youth restiveness occasioned by unemployment and dependency syndrome.

He assured the people that he will keep to his promise of impacting lives, especially the youths if elected, adding that as a youth he is aware of all their challenges.

The Constituency 2 hopeful, also visited the Woman leader, Chief Ereamini Tibiarau, youth leaders and several other stakeholders across party lines.
