IWC Set for 10th Anniversary and Awards Celebration in Warri
Ijaw Women Connect Worldwide, IWC, a pan -Ijaw Women organization is set for its 10th anniversary and awards celebration in the oil-rich city of Warri come November 1.
This is contained in a statement made available to newsmen in Abuja.
The theme for the anniversary is Reimagining The Ijaw Struggles and the Quest for Gender Inclusion in Strengthening Regional Progression.
According to the statement, Engineer Charles Ambaowei, a Former Acting President of Ijaw National Congress, INC is expected to be the Guest speaker.
While Mrs Gloria Douye Diri, wife of the Bayelsa State is the mother of the day at the epoch making anniversary.
The event is scheduled for 10am at Wellington Hotel, Warri, Delta State on Friday 1st November 2024.
This 10th anniversary celebration will feature award presentation to men and women who have distinguished themselves in serving the Ijaw nation in various capacity.
Members of IWC across branches are expected to be at the anniversary to brainstorm on strategies to move the organization for the greater good of Ijaw women in the region and seek possible ways of inclusion.
It would be recalled that Mrs Rosemary John Oduone is the founder and pioneer president of Ijaw Women Connect, Worldwide.
