Kate Abiri Bows Out as Bayelsa Chief Judge on January 13, After 15 Years of Service
Report by Dim Oba — Honourable Justice Kate Abiri, CON will on 13th January 2023 officially bow out of the judiciary as Chief Judge of Bayelsa State after serving over a decade.
According to the organizers, the week-long activities will begin with a valedictory thanksgiving service in honour of the outgoing CJ on Sunday 8th January 2023 at Greater Evangelism World Crusade, Yenagoa.
Others activities to usher the legal luminary into retirement reveal a public lecture to be held in her honour on Thursday, 12th January 2023 by 11:00am at the Chief D.S.P. Alamieyeseigha Banquet Hall, Government House.
A valedictory court session will be held on Friday 13th January 2023 by 10:00 am at the High Court Complex.
Reception and book presentation will take place by 1:00 pm at the Chief D.S.P. Alamieyeseigha Banquet Hall, Government House in honour of a woman who have served the state diligently without uncompromised.
Honourable Justice Kate Abiri was sworn in as Chief Judge of Bayelsa State by Governor Timipre Sylva on 20 March 2008. Justice Kate Abiri as made history in the state after serving for 15 years.
As Justice Kate Abiri bows out of as Chief Judge of Bayelsa State on January 13, 2023, she will be remembered for her contributions towards a proactive dispensation of justice.
