
NAPTIP Bayelsa Command Intensifies Street to Street Sensitization in Swali
In a bid to raise awareness on trafficking and domestic violence, the Bayelsa State Command of the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) has intensified it sensitization campaign in Yenagoa and it’s environ.
The command carried out a street to street sensitization campaign at school road Swali the aim of the campaign was to educate the residents on the ill dangers and consequences of human trafficking, child abuse, and gender-based violence.
The team was ably led by Mr. Sambo Wariebi, Head of the Public Enlightenment Unit representing the Ag Commander,Mr. Fadewari Timibiowei.
Mr. Wariebi emphasized the crucial role of community awareness in the fight against human trafficking.
He urged residents to remain vigilant and to report any suspected cases to the NAPTIP Bayelsa State Command, either by visiting the office or through the agency’s official communication channels.
The team distributed Information, Education and Communication (IEC) materials to enhance public knowledge and promote community involvement. Members of the community expressed their readiness to support NAPTIP’s efforts by promptly reporting any suspicious activities.
