NAPTIP Bayelsa State Command Reaches Out to Famgbe Community for Sensitization Campaign
The Bayelsa State Command of the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) carries out a sensitization campaign in Famgbe Community, aimed at educating residents on the dangers and consequences of human trafficking, child abuse, and gender-based violence.
The State Commander, Mrs. Abieyuwa Ikhidero, was ably represented by Mr. Sambo Wariebi, Head of the Public Enlightenment Unit.
In his remarks, Mr. Wariebi emphasized the crucial role of community awareness in the fight against human trafficking. He urged residents to remain vigilant and to report any suspected cases to the NAPTIP Bayelsa State Command, either by visiting the office or through the agency’s official communication channels.
To reinforce the message, the campaign team distributed Information, Education and Communication (IEC) materials to enhance public knowledge and promote community involvement. Members of the community expressed their readiness to support NAPTIP’s efforts by promptly reporting any suspicious activities.
