The National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP), Bayelsa State Command visited Tera Private Schools, Biogbolo, to sensitize both pupils and teachers on the dangers of human trafficking.
The State Commander, Mrs. Abieyuwa Ikhidero, was ably represented by Mr. Wariebi Sambo from the Public Enlightenment Unit.
Mr. Sambo stated that the purpose of the visit was to educate the pupils on the dangers of human trafficking, child abuse, and gender-based violence. He encouraged the children to report all forms of human trafficking to the Agency.
In her response, the School Administrator, Mrs. Imeh Akpan, thanked the Agency for taking time to visit the school. She pledged that the school would partner with NAPTIP to help reduce crime in the state.
