
NAPTIP Bayelsa State Command Storms Yenagoa Streets to Sensitize Residents on the Dangers of Human Trafficking
The Bayelsa State Command of the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) today took its sensitization campaign to Osiri Street, educating residents on the dangers of human trafficking, child abuse, and gender-based violence.
The State Commander, Mrs. Abieyuwa Ikhidero, was ably represented by Mr. Wariebi Sambo, the Head of the Public Enlightenment Unit. Leading the team, Mr. Sambo emphasized the importance of community awareness in the fight against human trafficking and urged residents to report any suspicious activities to NAPTIP. He encouraged them to visit the State Command or use any of the agency’s communication channels to provide relevant information.
Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials were distributed during the exercise, and residents pledged their support by committing to report cases of human trafficking to the agency.
Meanwhile Bayelsa State Command of the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) carried out a street-to-street sensitization campaign along Chinese Road to educate residents on the dangers of human trafficking, child abuse, and gender-based violence.
