
NAPTIP Combating Issues of Trafficking in Yenagoa, Receives NOA Delegation
The Bayelsa State Command of the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) expresses readiness in combating issues of trafficking in state as the agency receives a delegation from the National Orientation Agency (NOA) led its state co-ordinator, Mrs. Grace Alagoa.
Mrs. Abieyuwa Ikhidero, state Commander of NAPTIP, welcomed the visiting delegation with delight and expressed readiness to work with the sister agency.
The NAPTIP state commander used the opportunity to educate the NOA team on the dangers of human trafficking, child abuse, and gender-based violence. She also highlighted NAPTIP’s ongoing efforts in combating these issues within the state.
On her part, Mrs. Grace Alagoa, the State Coordinator of the National Orientation Agency, stated that the visit is aimed at strengthening collaboration between the two agencies.
She emphasized NOA’s readiness to support NAPTIP in extending its advocacy and awareness campaigns to grassroots communities.
A key highlight of the courtesy visit was the presentation of the agency’s Information, Education and Communication (IEC) materials, as well as the symbolic issuance of red cards to human traffickers operating in Bayelsa State.
