
NAPTIP Inaugurates Anti-Trafficking in Persons and Violence Against Persons Vanguard in Boutua International School
National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) Bayelsa State Command has inaugurated the Anti-Trafficking in Persons and Violence Against Persons Vanguard in Yenagoa.
While on a Sensitization campaign to Boutua International Secondary School Opolo, the team led by the state Ag Commander, Mr Fadeware Timiebiowei was ably represented by Mr Wariebi Sambo Head of Public Enlightenment Unit.
Mr. Sambo said they are in the school to educate both students and teachers on the danger’s of human trafficking, Child abuse and Gender Base Violence and to Inaugurate Anti – Trafficking in Persons and Violence Against Persons Vanguard in the school.
Mr Sambo used the opportunity to educate the students the functions of NAPTIP, forms of human trafficking and ways to report human trafficking cases.
In response the school principal Mr Moses Obaro thank the Agency for finding time in visiting the school, he promise that the school (Boutua International Secondary School) will be good ambassador to NAPTIP in the fight against human trafficking in the state.
High point of the Sensitization campaign is the inauguration of Anti – Trafficking in Persons and Violence Against Person (ATIP/VAP) Vanguard in the school, group photography and sharing of the agency IEC materials.
