
NAPTIP Seeks Stronger Partnership from New NSCDC Commandant in Yenagoa
The National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) Bayelsa State Command, ably led by the State acting Commander, Mr. Fadeware Timibiower, paid a courtesy visit to the new State Commandant of the Nigerian security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) in Yenagoa.
The purpose of the visit was to strengthen the existing relationship between NAPTIP and NSCDC, with a focus on enhancing collaboration in joint operations, intelligence sharing, and other critical areas of partnership. A.g commander Fadeware Timibiower welcomed the new Commandant to Bayelsa state and also emphasized the importance of synergy, stating that the fight against human trafficking cannot be won by a single agency but requires collective efforts from sister agencies.
In his response, the new State Commandant of NSCDC, Commandant M PALMER , expressed appreciation for the visi. He pledged the full support of the NSCDC Bayelsa State Command in combating human trafficking and related crimes in the state.
A significant highlight of the visit was the presentation of NAPTIP’s Information, Education and Communication (IEC) materials,was given to the Commandant as well as the symbolic issuance of human traffickers in Bayelsa State.
