NCDMB Concludes CCTV and Fire Alarm Systems Training for 50 Nigerian Youths in Delta State
The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) has successfully concluded a specialised training on CCTV and Fire Alarm Systems, empowering 50 Nigerian youths with practical technical skills to strengthen local participation in the oil and gas industry.
The close-out ceremony, held earlier today at the Multipurpose Vocational Training Centre, Egbokodo, Warri, Delta State, marked another milestone in the Board’s consistent drive to promote human capacity development and youth empowerment through sustainable skill acquisition initiatives.
Speaking at the event, the Executive Secretary of NCDMB, Engr. Felix Omatsola Ogbe (FNSE, FIPS) — represented by Dr. Abraham Apereseimokomo Alfred, Supervisor, Strategy & Transformation Project/Board Projects — commended the trainees for their commitment and resilience throughout the programme. He urged them to channel their newly acquired technical knowledge toward productive ventures that will contribute to the nation’s industrial growth.
“This training is designed to create opportunities for self-reliance and entrepreneurship,” he said. “We want every participant to go out and make meaningful impact with the skills and start-up kits provided.”
Each trainee received a comprehensive start-up package to enable immediate engagement in professional CCTV installation, maintenance, and fire alarm system management. The initiative aligns with NCDMB’s mission to enhance local content participation, particularly in technical areas of the oil and gas value chain.
Other NCDMB officials present at the event included Mrs. Temisan Eguando (Supervisor, ES Office), Mr. Peremobowei Benson (Officer, FAD), and Mr. Prince Foncha (Officer, Corporate Communications), who all reaffirmed the Board’s commitment to continuous human capital development and sustainable empowerment programmes across Nigeria.
Through programmes like the NCDMB CCTV and Fire Alarm Systems Training, the Board continues to bridge the skills gap in critical sectors while providing Nigerian youths with the tools needed for self-employment and nation-building.
