NCDMB Holds Close-Out Ceremony for NCDMB/TotalEnergies/PIDWAL HCD Training Programme in Port Harcourt
The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) held the close-out ceremony for the NCDMB/TotalEnergies/PIDWAL Human Capacity Development (HCD) Training under the Provision of Drillship for the Egina Project, at Heliconia Hotel in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
In her remarks, Mrs. Tarilate Teide-Bribena, Manager, Human Capacity Development, NCDMB, who represented the Executive Secretary, Engr. Felix Omatsola Ogbe (FNSE, FIPS), commended the trainees for their discipline, dedication, and successful completion of the programme without any incidents. She emphasized that the Board remains committed to strengthening indigenous capacity and reducing reliance on expatriate expertise within Nigeria’s oil and gas industry.
Mrs. Teide-Bribena reiterated that the NCDMB’s Human Capacity Development initiatives are strategically aligned with the Board’s mandate to drive local content growth and ensure that Nigerians acquire the technical skills necessary to compete globally.
Representatives from TotalEnergies and PIDWAL presented detailed overviews of the project, highlighting the impact of the HCD programme on skill development and workforce readiness. Training providers — Stoilic, Joemarine, PANA Academy, and SLC Resources — also delivered reports on the training outcomes, sharing success stories and key lessons learned during the implementation phase.
The event marked another milestone in NCDMB’s ongoing collaboration with international oil companies and service providers to deliver sustainable human capital development programmes across Nigeria’s energy sector.
