
New Waves Chapel Holds Training for Journalists on Current Trends on News Reportage
New Waves Chapel, Nigeria Union of Journalist, NUJ Bayelsa State Council organized an in house-training for it’s members and journalists in the stateat the Ernest lkoli Media Complex.
Speaking at the opening session, Comrade Tonye Yemoleigha, chairman of Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ Bayelsa state council commended the chapel for organizing the training for it’s members to improved in their assignment and adviced them to embrace changes.
Represented by the Vice chairman, Dr. Inebaraton Preye called on other cchapelsof the council to emulate the New Waves and organize in-house training for it’s members for their career growth.
In her remarks, The Overseer of the Bayelsa state Newspaper Corporation, Mrs Ruth Gwegwe also commended the chapel and its executive for organizing the training for the members urging them to continue to organized more training.
Also speaking, Comrade Peace Sinclair, editor in-chief of the New Waves newspaper commended the chapel chairman and facilitator on the in-house training organized by the chapel for it’s members and urged them to put to practice what they have learned .
Facilitator of the in-house training, Mr Enideneze Etete who taught on the topic NEWS JOURNALISM FOUNDATION’ AND CURRENT’s IN CONTEMPORARY MEDIA charged members to always know the rudiments and foundation of news writings before venturing into it.
Earlier, Former Chairman of NUJ Comrade Samuel Numonengi applauded the the New waves chapel for organizing the in-house training for it’s members while urging other chapel to emulate the gesture inorder to be abreast with the current trend of information.
Chairman of the New Wave Chapel, Comrade Woyengimiebi Kei appreciated members for turning out in their numbers to participate in today’s training and urged all members absentees to attend and embrace change.
